Braille and tactile signage is a building compliance requirement, not a finishing touch. Under the National Construction Code, Australian buildings must identify sanitary facilities, exits and key spaces with signage carrying raised tactile characters and Grade 1 Braille, manufactured to AS 1428.1. Getting it wrong is one of the more common reasons a certifier withholds an occupancy certificate.

We manufacture the full range in Sydney and ship Australia-wide. Every sign in this category is produced to order, so you can specify the size, material and finish your certifier or access consultant has asked for.

Sizes and pricing

Standard formats are 225 × 300mm, 300 × 450mm, 450 × 600mm and 600 × 900mm portrait, plus 300 × 225mm landscape. Custom sizes are available on request.

Compliance-grade braille and tactile signs are $135 each. Our slimline Exit Level range starts at $60.
