ROOF ACCESS with UNAUTHORISED ENTRY PROHIBITED underneath it: the plate for the door, hatch surround or ladder cage that opens onto a roof with fall hazards, plant and live services on the other side. $35, SKU UNI_SS_020, 600mm x 100mm horizontal. It is one of the most-ordered plates in our access range, mostly because certifiers and building managers want the restriction stated rather than implied.
A roof access point combines a working-at-heights hazard with an entry nobody supervises. The sign supports a permit or access-control system, it does not replace one, and it relieves nobody of edge protection or anchor point obligations. What it does is tell the person standing at the door that going through is not their call to make.
Fix it centrally on the leaf, above or below the vision panel, or on the wall beside a hatch where there is no leaf to work with; on a caged ladder the cage frame at eye height is usually the only flat run available. Finishes are satin natural anodised aluminium, silver brushed composite (ACM) and white composite (ACM). If the location only needs naming and the restriction is signed elsewhere, ROOF ACCESS on its own is a different product, UNI_SS_077.
