Fire Safety Door | Pull To Open Sign

Occupants push when they should pull, and on a fire safety door that hesitation costs seconds. This plate carries the fire safety door message together with the pull to open instruction, so the way the door works is obvious from the approach side. It is a taller format than the standard door strip, 600mm x 165mm horizontal, which gives the extra wording room to breathe and makes it readable from down a corridor. Choose satin natural anodised aluminium, composite in silver brushed, or composite in white, at $45. Typical positions are stair lobby doors, corridor cross-doors and doors into fire-isolated passages, particularly where the leaf swings towards the occupant and there is no obvious pull handle. Requirements for fire and smoke doors sit in the NCC, and a door that is obstructed, held open or operated incorrectly will not do the job it was certified to do, so this is an operational sign as much as a statutory one.
