A door plate that identifies a door as an exit. It is not an illuminated emergency exit sign. That is separate fire safety equipment with its own requirements, and it sits on the fire services schedule as its own line — this plate does not replace it, it works alongside it. Where this one earns its keep is on doors that need naming for occupants and visitors in ordinary daily use: a rear exit from a tenancy, a service exit off a back-of-house corridor, a carpark door, or a door in a run of identical leaves where nothing tells one from the next. The format is 600mm x 100mm horizontal at thirty-five dollars, in Satin Natural Anodised Aluminium (SNA), Composite — Silver Brushed (ACM) or Composite — White (ACM). The two silver finishes match the rest of the statutory door range, which is useful when the exit plate shares a floor with plant room, switch room and communications signage. Mount it at eye level on the leaf or the adjacent wall, on the side people approach from. Cut and finished at our Artarmon workshop in Sydney, and ordered in quantity by buildings being signed floor by floor.
